This
type
of
edgebanding
eliminates
the
traditional
glue
line
creating
a
seamless
monolithic
panel.
Our
laser
edgebander,
imported
from
Germany,
produces
cabinet
doors
with
unmatched
beauty
and
strength.
How
does
it
do
this?
Edge
tape
is
manufactured
by
extruding
a
polymer
through
a
die.
For
laser
edge
tape,
a
second
layer
of
polymer
matching
the
color
of
the
base
layer
is
co-extruded.
During
the
edgebanding
process
the
tape
is
fed
in
front
of
a
laser,
melting
the
new
polymer
layer
allowing
it
to
adhere
to
the
substrate.
Because
the
melted
portion
also
matches
the
color
of
the
panel,
an
invisible
bond
is
formed.
Another
important
element
of
our
edgebanded
is
its
servo
controlled
contour
trimming
unit.
This
produces
perfectly
rounded
corners on every door ensuring the most beautiful results possible.

Not all panel substrates have a laser-ready tape available. For those applications we use PUR
to create the thinnest strongest glue line possible. The electronic applicator on our
edgebander applies a precise, consistent amount of glue making it nearly invisible.
